Street

step

Definition

This is each individual phase or round of betting during a hand. The term is commonly used to describe the different stages of betting in a hand, namely the preflop, flop, turn, and river. Each of these stages is considered a separate street where players have the opportunity to bet, check, raise, or fold based on the community cards dealt and their own hole cards. The term street helps to distinguish between the various phases of betting and action within a single hand of poker.
